It's easier to use Overpass-turbo and accept Geojson output. I would recommend a series of thematic layer downloads (e.g., highways, water etc). Alternatively download pre-built shapefiles for Australia from Geofabrik Downloads. You'll need to clip them to your area of interest. BBBike may also be suitable for your purposes as it provides similar shapefiles to those from Geofabrik with custom bounding boxes. answered 27 May '20, 13:32  SK53 ♦ |
