I have added some trails. But I have to zoom a lot down to see the trails. Is there an option or attribute to use, so the trails will be visible on a different zoom level?

If you can link to the area on https://www.openstreetmap.org where they are (just move the map and copy the URL from the browser address bar) people might be able to investigate.

So, to answer the new wording of your question, low zoom levels are more CPU-expensive to render, so it happens less frequently.

Also highway=path start to be show on carto-openstreetmap at zoom level 14, it is by design.

If you need higher zoom level rendering, you need to change the renderer, not the tagging.

It takes some time for the change to render. The default map on openstreetmap.org should be the fastest one, but sometime it still need few hours, especially after update of the map style (osm-carto, 3 days ago).

It also depends on the zoom levels, try zooming out and in again. The various caches (server-side, or in your browser) might also take some time to refresh.

Anyway the paths you've drawn do appear for me from zoom level 15, so nothing to worry about !

If you need more information, try searching here, and on other OSM-related places, this discussion comes up frequently.

Regards.
