https://goo.gl/maps/DeuSfBKzRHmYZqWo6 I have mapped it as a line, but not sure what to select. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/795307886#map=17/59.61696/11.00867 it's not a wall, not a border. it's a line of rocks leading you from a rest stop to the top of a grass/weed field asked 25 Apr '20, 17:16 mtbboy1993 |
Is the cairn a burial site? If so I'd say possibly the line of rocks form a stone/rock sculpture. Leading you from one resting place in this life, the picnic area, up to the cairn, a resting place for a future life (the hereafter). answered 25 Apr '20, 19:36 BCNorwich I don't know what this area is.I haven't been to this specific place.

I actually just used the satellite imagery built in in OSM, but I found this later, to and I think it shows what it is well better than satellite imagery. only reason I linked it there. I did not actually use it to map it. I have actually been in a car that was driven past this thing, but never been up there. but first time I see a thing like that. do anyone know a name for this?

to me it seems like the rocks are just leading you to the top of the hill, it's meant for hiking up there. https://www.facebook.com/Stolpejaktenindreostfold/photos/a.1518681081527088/3036901533038361/?type=3&theater, it seems like the only reason these rocks are there is to guide you to the top.

@mtbboy, note that you cannot use Google StreetView to map features. So if you haven't been there, and you cannot determine the feature from allowed aerial imagery, you should not map the stones in the first place. That being said, you could use barrier=block answered 26 Apr '20, 06:55 escada |
