Use of votes

3

I may be asking a stupid question, but how do I vote? In the mail I am asked to vote positively for the answer given to my questions. I have looked in the FAQ but I don't see any instruction on how to vote. Am I missing something here or am I not allowed to vote yet because I have not done any work yet? No problem, but it should then be made clear.

Sorry, I did not realize what the "thumbs" where used for. I am used to wikipedia where voting is a much more elaborate and controlled proces.

One Answer:

7
  • If you like an answer you click on the thumbs up icon to the left of the answer.
  • If you don't like the answer click on the thumbs down icon instead
  • If you change your mind just click on the icon again.
  • You may vote for any post except your own posts.
  • The votes are not anonymous.

If you are the one that asked a question, and you and find an answer the be the correct one, you may click the tick icon and the question will be marked as answered.

"Votes are not anonymous" where can I see who voted for what?

You can see who voted for what by looking at the karma history on a users page, for example:
