Problem with exporting pdf map with OSM background in QGIS

Hi!

We use QGIS to export maps with an OSM-carto background at work. However it hasn't worked in the last week or so. QGIS stops working but it works with other backgrounds, so it's not a QGIS bug. I wonder if this is a known issue. I have noticed that the osm-carto rendering has been slow in the last few days. It this because of the new release and is this just a temporary problem?
