Hi all, I'd like to download an image file (.png,.jpg,etc) of a large area in about 1/50,000 scale. To be specific, this area would cover most of the San Francisco Bay Area. The "Share" function only allows images of the area I want at 1/175,000 scale as the tightest scale. Is there a way to select a large area to "share" and then break that up into smaller chunks and download those individually so I can combine them in GIMP? |

One of the services on this page might give you something close to what you want. They are intended for printing, but many will give you a raster if that's what you need. Thanks. I've looked through those sites before and I guess I'll have to compromise and go with inkatlas. They're all centered around printing an image to paper rather than simply picking the area i want and the map scale I need. I think inkatlas will at least get me close. Thanks again!
