Hi all,

I'd like to download an image file (.png,.jpg,etc) of a large area in about 1/50,000 scale. To be specific, this area would cover most of the San Francisco Bay Area. The "Share" function only allows images of the area I want at 1/175,000 scale as the tightest scale. Is there a way to select a large area to "share" and then break that up into smaller chunks and download those individually so I can combine them in GIMP?

One of the services on this page might give you something close to what you want. They are intended for printing, but many will give you a raster if that's what you need.

Thanks. I've looked through those sites before and I guess I'll have to compromise and go with inkatlas. They're all centered around printing an image to paper rather than simply picking the area i want and the map scale I need. I think inkatlas will at least get me close. Thanks again!
