How do I measure distance and area on openstreet map?

I have used openstreet map on my work. Now I want to add tools like measure distance, calculate area etc. If any one draw a line on openstreet map it will the distance from starting point to ending point. If any one draw a polygon then it will calculate the area of that polygon, like. How will i import it?
