I'm looking at the map on the website, not in an app. From what I've seen in from other answers, it should take a couple of minutes at most. I made some basic changes yesterday, and the map still looks the same. Under my changesets, they all say "closed 1 day ago," which I don't know if that means it's been completed or deleted. When I go back into the edit mode, my changes are still there.

If you can link to where you've made changes, people might be able to see what the problem is.

Different maps created from OSM data update at different speeds. Even if whatever map that you're currently looking at hasn't updated, another one might have.

If you can see your added data in edit mode it will show in a day or so, if you have tagged it correctly. Zooming in and out will probably show it at some zoom levels. If you post a change set or the url like this one of your work someone will, i guess look at it for you. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/52.33410/-0.25001
