Renderd conf file, datasource postgis error

Hi there. I'm currently trying to run the tutorial on https://switch2osm.org/manually-building-a-tile-server-18-04-lts/, but am having some issues with the section on 'Running renderd for the first time'.

This is my terminal output:

I believe my problem may be to do with not having an 'ajt' section in my renderd.conf file. So I ended up adding the URI and XML changes to the default section. Am I doing this correctly? Please help :)

Hi Frederik, thanks for your reply.

I was actually using the incorrect version of PostgreSQL and PostGIS. Perhaps should've followed the correct tutorial for Ubuntu 18.04 rather than 16.04.

Your renderd.conf needs to have a section like this:

[mapnik] plugins_dir=/usr/lib/mapnik/input font_dir=/usr/share/fonts/truetype font_dir_recurse=1

And the directory listed as "plugins_dir" needs to contain a file called postgis.input.
