As far as I understand, the default way to log in to help.openstreetmap.org is by using the credentials of one's openstreetmap.org account. However, I've noticed that depending on the password I've set on openstreetmap.org, login on help.openstreetmap.org won't work.

What thus are the criteria my openstreetmap.org password has to fullfill to also work on help.openstreetmap.org?

(It seems there's some limit of how long the password may be for that, but what is it? And are there other limitations, e.g. what characters may occur in the password?)

Maybe I was wrong about there being a (significantly short) length limit. It seems though, while the password may contain spaces, it will not work on help.osm.org if it starts with a space.
