Is there any way to edit the info on openstreetmap and not upload the information. At the same time I want to have the same edited information on JOSM to create an OSM file. Or is it just better(easier) to edit on JOSM? Is there any alternative?

I'm not sure I understand. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "Is there any way to edit the info on openstreetmap and not upload the information." ?

@Sreemoyee Mitra: indeed your question needs more detailed description or examples.

So if you EDIT your question and give us more info, maybe we can help you.

I guess he wants to create a OSM file by using Potlatch instead of JOSM without uploading anything.

If your question is "which editors are available to edit OSM data?" then have a look here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Editors#Choice_of_Editors
