I am a beginner to mapping. I am using an iPad to participate in the mapping projects available. I would like to know how I can square the buildings after I finish outlining them. Thank you.

Are you mapping with the browser-based editor or are you using an app to map?

I am using the browser-based iD editor.

I take it you are talking about a touch screen. Tap on the outline of the building and hold the stylus down on the screen, a drop-down menu appears, tap the square menu item (third down) the area will be squared up. Note the square menu item will only be active if the feature can be squared up.
