I just downloaded the Portugal map to my Garmin Edge Explore. If i do a search for Lisbon, it says "no results found" I've looked for other city's I'll be staying in on my trip and no luck with them either. I'm still in the USA so I don't know if that affects the search. Any suggestions?

You can get latitudes and longitudes from the OSM url to create a way point or scroll the map on the garmin create a waypoint and do a goto. My Garmins accept, or can be set to decimal degrees so basiacally the same as OSM note south and west are represented by - ( negative ) in OSM. Comment if you don't understand my answer.

I typically do something like this too - it's always quicker to search for a waypoint (either with a certain name or with a certain symbol, depending on device) than it is to search through all the hotels that it knows about.

Often easier and more accurate the Post codes in country areas ( in Uk) as well.

correction Its often easier and more accurate than using Post Codes in rural areas (in the UK) as they can cover larger areas. I am often looking for a meeting point or car park not a street address which i understand only applies to limited number of residences, which may be larger area in rural areas.
