Find and click the share button om the right hand edge of the map. Tick off "include marker", maybe adjust the location by dragging the map. Copy the appropriate link from the field below and e.g. email it. (Still the map comments show up as pins, too. Don't know how to get rid of those...) answered 16 May '14, 09:42 geolr |
Have a look at Static_map_images, there you have several possibilities to create static maps with a bunch of pinpoints. If you need a slippy map like the one on osm.org, try the Export function there, it generates HTML code to embed on a website where a marker can be set. answered 11 Aug '11, 15:57 stephan75 1
I tried the Potlatch, Potlatch2, and Remote editors, to no avail. So there's no way to simply... 1. Open OSM to a given location 2. Right-click, and put a pin on that location 3. Copy the URL and send it to friends?

If you just want to share a URL:
That'll be a URL something like: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=47.5433&lon=-52.8734&zoom=12&layers=M If you like, you can change "lat" to "mlat" and "lon" to "mlon" to get a marker at the spot: www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=47.5433&mlon=-52.8734&zoom=12&layers=M

Yes you can publish openstreetmap (note streetmap is not openstreetmap) on your web site but please credit openstreetmap. This Question will show how to put on a marker on it. http://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/25/how-do-i-add-a-marker-to-a-map answered 18 Jul '12, 19:50 andy mackey |
Please, next time, only ask one question in one "question", not two. That fits this help site structure much better.
