Hi everyone why if I look for "via bologna, borgia" nothing is found? if I use bing maps (which always uses the openstreetmap map) do I find it successfully? thank you asked 10 Jun '19, 20:12 alcaroandrea |
The street is not mapped in OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=borgia#map=18/38.82579/16.50386) - I had to compare with Google Maps to know where it had to be located. Are you sure Bing maps is always using OSM? So the best thing you can do is to become an editor and start adding (without copying from other sources), all the street names in Borgia. answered 11 Jun '19, 04:21 escada |
Hi, answer to your question is quite simple; this is happening because 100% of roads in Borgia are still unnamed in OSM (see link below), this is because we badly lack a mapper in the area. Same is happening quite often from Rome going south. If you're a local in Borgia and would like to spend some time working on it it'd be great. This is how Borgia looks right now in OSM https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/38.82620/16.50876 answered 11 Jun '19, 17:41 Constable |
