How to map a fossil trunk?

1

Hi there.

I came across a fossil trunk in a park and I'm not sure how to map it.

For the time being, I chose the following tags: natural=stone species=araucarioxylon age=200 000 000 denotation=natural_monument tourism=attraction

Any suggestions? Regards.

Is it truly a tourist attraction that people come to see? Make sure you don't "(mis-)tag for the renderer" just to get it to show up on a specific map. I'd also suggest removing the spaces from the age.

Yes, it's a tourist attraction, with a plaque beside it.

The closest I'm aware of is geological=palaeontological_site but that seems to be more about areas where they are found than ones on display.

Yes, I also saw that, but I have the same opinion, it's more related to areas.

I would use tourism=information note=fossilised tree trunk and if the information board as a web link add that as well.
