OpenStreetMap gets more and more useless, since the maps aren't rendered correctly anymore. They will get stuck with lots of large, blurry tiles. Sometimes zooming in and out helps a bit, but that is not satisfying. Isn't there any trick to get rid of this problem?

Here is an example URL:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=13/53.5472/9.9940

Sometimes i use the OpenTopoMap, which i can switch to use the normal street map , which is a bit better. Am i using some obsolete verseion, or are the servers overloaded? What is the reason?

Seems OK from my location. Have you tried clearing your cache?

As you didn't attached an screenshot, I just can guess what your specific problem is. Please also check different OSM based tile services as www.openstreetmap.de to see, if the problem persist.

  1. ISP throttling - if you are at an university, public sector, free wifi, ... the tiles download might get throttled by the huge amount of requests
  2. Browser cache tainted - Clean your cache
