Error contacting nominatim.openstreetmap.org: 429"

I keep getting "Error contacting nominatim.openstreetmap.org: 429" whenever I try to search openstreetmap.org. Based on Googling, this seems to happen when you make too many requests in too short a time, but I don't think I've been using the website excessively.
