What do you want to save and print street maps from? A PC, a phone, something else? What sort of maps do you want to save and print?

Currently the likely best web service for producing printable maps from OSM data is https://maposmatic.osm-baustelle.de/ There are naturally lots of other DIY solutions, but they tend to be substantially more involved.
