Hi,

when trying to edit OSM-data in Potlatch I can't see the map but only a blue background. What might be the reason? The Error occurs on Internet Explorer 8 and Mozilla Firefox 3.6.10 as well.

Kind regards

This can have several reasons:

  • be sure that you have flash player installed on your PC ... did you ever see tha map data displayed in any version of Potlatch?-
  • be sure that there is no problem with the OSM servers that deliver the raw OSM data to display the elements ... check Platform Status in the OSM wiki--
  • are you able to download the OSM map data with any offline editor like Merkaartor or JOSM? -

  • We also need to know whether you are using (old) Potlatch1 or recent Potlatch2 ... can you edit your question and tell us more?

Hi,

the error is'nt existing any more.

Here for being complete the answers to your questions: Flash player should be installed, I used the older version of online editing some months or years ago. The download with JOSM was'nt possible as well. I access Potlatch by clicking on the Edit (in german "Bearbeiten") Tab on www.openstreetmap.org. Currently it is Potlatch2.

Thanks for your help!
