I'm looking for a keyboard shortcut or Preference setting that will turn off or hide the Memberships portion of the Tags/Memberships panel in JOSM. Obviously, I want to see the tags of a selected object but I don't use or care about the Memberships at all. I turned Memberships off once and really liked reclaiming the space they occupy on that crowded right menu but I cannot remember how I did it.

Thanks

Dave

https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Help/Dialog/TagsMembership lists advanced properties for changing the look of the Tags/Membership window. However it doesn't list anything for hiding memberships.

The [alt][shift]-P shortcut hides the entire panel. That's not what I want.

See the illustration here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nkytnxipu0gugxa/Tags%20Panel.jpg?dl=0

If you click on any of those links the preset dialog opens for that tag. I never use those presets so for me they are a waste of precious space that I want to reclaim.

Oh, you meant the tag presets. I thought you were asking about the relation memberships.

Title changed (and yes that was very misleading)

I found the answer with the help of scai's referral to the Tags/Memberships preferences. On that page it shows this line from JOSM's Advanced Preferences list:

properties.presets.visible "true" If set to true, displays the list of presets matching the current tags.

I set this parameter to "false" and after restarting JOSM, the links are gone.

Thank you. Might one of you admins reword the title of this question to make it more helpful to others? Perhaps "How do I hide Tag Preset links from the Tags/Relationships panel?"

You can edit your own question, including the title :)

Thank you. I didn't know one could edit the title of the post.

Too bad my terminology was so misleading <g>
