If you are looking for a simple way to add a business:

OSMyBIZ is a dedicated web app for adding businesses to OpenStreetMap. New (as in not present on OSM yet) business are directly added to the OpenStreetMap data, changes are currently stores as OSM Notes with structured content.

See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSMyBiz for more information.

I'm afraid this is more related to the Facebook feature known as Places. OpenStreetMap's data might have been used to display the underlying map only. It cannot influence the algorithms used by Facebook to display what's what, through their services. Their updates may take a while to be reflected on their page and other services.

Still, you can add your business into OpenStreetMap. The changes will be shown instantly on OpenStreetMap.
