Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Over the past few days I have noticed that OSM returns HTTP status code 500 quite frequently. It seems Trogdor is suffering under excessive load. See response below. Is this a known issue and is there anything that could be done about it?

I can confirm Trogdor server seem to have issues with disk load especially last few days, as can be seen on https://munin.openstreetmap.org/openstreetmap.org/trogdor.openstreetmap.org/diskstats_utilization/index.html

It results in 6+ seconds loading time for each tile during day :(

I've contacted operations@osmfoundation.org, and they confirm they are working on it.
