"This help question is garbage, doesn't even say which site the user is downloading from or which device they're trying to upload to".

ahem.

Perhaps if you provide a little bit more detail about what you're trying to do people will be able to help? Lots of sites (probably thousands) make OSM-based maps available. Lots of devices (phones, PCs, Garmin GPSs) can do something with those maps. What are you actually trying to do?

Well first off let me say for thank you for replying to my question. Second of all drop the f** attitude. Third I'm new to this and I assumed this was a Garmin help section on the open street map site where I downloaded the map.

So let's start from the beginning I have a Garmin Nuvi 755t. I downloaded an image from the openstreetmap site with the required region. The help section only has one sentence regarding installation and copying of the map data to the device.

what I want to know is how do I get the damn map pack or data that I downloaded to the device.

and please excuse my confusion while using this site. The organization and design is deplorable.

@smills98823: please mention the URL of "the openstreetmap site". Very likely you do not mean http://www.openstreetmap.org/ . Which file (name?) did you download?
