Recording my trips never works even the gpx widget is on (red) and even i can see my position moving on the map. Also the tracking never appears on the map while i walk. The record files exist but always indicates: 0 meter, 0 seconds. (Trip Recording installed and enabled, logging interval 10 sec, auto-record track on,minimum displacement 2 m)

(OsmAnd 3.2.2 / moto g6 play 2017 / android 8.0.0)

OsmAnd is a third-party application. For OsmAnd-specific bugs use https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/issues or https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/osmand.

Does this problem only occur when recording in the background? There is a known issue with Android 8 and trip recording in the background: https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/issues/5632

You may be able to set-up OSMand to do what you want, the app will have been created by another supplier not openstreetmap, it just uses free openstreetmap data. You should read any help files or ask the app creator for help if you cannot fix it yourself. OSMand is used by some mappers and somebody here may have the answer to your problem.
