I'd like to map my college's dorm buildings with a bit more detail than they currently have. The university website has a bunch of floor plans online as PDFs (example: http://housing.illinois.edu/living-options/residence-halls/undergraduate-halls/snyder/floor-plans ), and I was thinking of using those as an imagery source for reference (JOSM+PicLayer). I know that I can't just use those plans without asking, but I'm not entirely sure who I need to ask, or what to ask them for. Do I just email the contact address on the housing pages, asking if I can have permission to use their online floorplans to improve OpenStreetMaps? Do I need to use any particular wording to make sure it's clear what permission they're giving?
