I found a geocache at N 35° 57.280' W 082° 33.679' and Project-GC which uses openstreet to determine a location is saying this is in North Carolina, but when I put in the coordinates in openstreet, it is showing online that it is in TN. Other applications also say it's in TN. Can you tell me which state you believe these coordinates are in. As per the follow-up on your question here, they don't use OSM data in the US, and instead use TIGER data. The location is close enough to the boundary that a slight difference in the boundary can put it in the other state.
