In the city that I am focusing on right now, there is a decently sized train station. The rail corridor and maintenance infrastructure is properly encased in an area tagged with landuse:railway, but that are also includes public parking around the station.

While the parking's primary use is for the station and it is directly attached to it, the wiki page about landuse:railway mentions that the zone is for railways, the station itself and any maintenance equipment or buildings supporting the operation.

Should the parking stay in the landuse:railway area or should it be removed from it, making the zone cover only equipment and buildings related to the operations of the trains, as stated on the wiki ?

The landuse should cover parking if it is primarily for railway customers.
