Change linking target-type

Hi,

I'd like to use uMap for an country-map with marking points, where every POI will get an link inside my website itself. But uMap in default only provide "_target"-links by opening all links in new Tabs, but I 'd like to open the links direct in existing tab (_parent/_self).

There was an discussion a few years ago, but until now, I do not find any solution for this. Can anybody help me?
