Now OSM has turned to JSLeaflet, and hence does not use images and tiles as the map for viewing. Now how can I force OSM to re-render a particular area? Thanks!

sorry, I can not understand. Please could you explain your problem with much more words? What are you trying to do? What is "OSM" in your case? Is it your own server?

No. I mean the public server. I want to have the public server retile a location after I edit. Thanks.

I guess you mean the default map on http://www.openstreetmap.org/ ...

http://www.openstreetmap.org/ uses Leaflet since November 2012. Leaflet also uses tiles. However, you cannot (since Sept 2016) simply do a right click on a tile to get its address. Please see the older question "requesting-re-render-of-a-tile" for workarounds.

Note that due to a current server move updates may be slower than usual.
