I was wondering if it is possible or allowed to download a map and make edits to it outside of the program and use them for printed materials?

Yes it is allowed, depending on what you mean with "map", you should provide attribution in any case. Other obligations depend on exactly what you are doing.

Hi Simon, I work for an advertising company that sends out physical print copies of adds. We're looking to put maps (just a small map of the surrounding area of a specific address) on the ads. I just wanted to make sure that under your guidelines we are able to use your rendered maps for this purpose and are allowed to add our own edits to them after downloading or screen shotting what we would like to use. I just want to make sure that we are not abusing or disobeying the confines of your platform. I am new to this whole idea of using maps for this purpose and so far your platform has been closest to what we are looking for. Thank you for your help!
