Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

Sorry, mapping for OSM is almost always unpaid volunteering. The OpenStreetMap Foundation has a very small budget and that's mostly dedicated to hardware and to legal support.

But if you want to make a living out of OSM, there are several companies that produce OSM-based maps or software, and a few of those have a "data team" (or similar) which employs mappers. Mapbox and Telenav are two such companies.

Via the OsmAnd Live program, you can earn a very, very small amount of bitcoins for your contributions.
