how can i export mbtiles (iphone)

0	i would like to export an area however i can see in the export tab no mbtiles only image kind of file. any suggestion how can i download mbtiles from openstreetmap? mbtiles asked 18 Jul '11, 15:59 kipilola 1●1●1●1 accept rate: 0%

You can use TileMill to create mbtiles out of OSM data.

But I am not aware about whether Tilemill can process OSM data directly. Maybe you have to convert it from osm format to shapefiles first or find a download source for shp.
