I have completely messed up the entire area I was just trying to have a river actually show up in X-plane 11. How do I go back to other users previous versions? Thanks.

You need to "revert" your changes, but it seems unlikely that this would be a good idea for you to attempt at this point. Please point us to the changeset(s) in question and somebody will do it for you.

Note "changing things to make them show up somewhere" is always questionable.

I have reverted the changesets mentioned in the question. Some objects had however been edited by other users in the mean time and didn't revert cleanly. Is the problem solved now, or do we have to force-reset everything back to the state it was in before you touched it?

No. It still seems to have errors.

I suspect this is just a question of rendering the changes. At least the data seems to be correct now.
