Hi In France, starting at Dieppe the Avenue Verte London Paris cycle route, both direct and the loop via Clermont were marked in red on the Cycling layer until a couple of months ago.

A greater part of the path is now not visible on the cycle layer.

Has it gone to another layer or if edited out why please?

Can it be recovered as it was the best, most up to date open source info available.

I am about the cycle the route and was hoping to use it for primary route finding.

Thanks for any help

The relation (and sub-relations) are still there, but the sections you mention such as this seem to be tagged as network=icn (for international cycle network) which I don't think the cycle layer shows.

It currently shows still on the cycle.travel map which does render icn routes.

Many thanks Ed for the reply.

Yes your link shows what I saw previously in great detail and thank you for the link to Cycle travel map an unknown site to me.

Are there further but 'inaccessible' layers , other than the 4 readily seen on opening the Open Street Map site, that require some 'manipulation' to display the ICN? Sorry a dumb question but I'm just a starry eyed novice user offered perfection but now had it whisked away!!

Cheers

There are a couple of other suggestions in the wiki - Waymarked Trails' cycle map might be useful - see here.

One more thing - I can actually understand (from a UK/Ireland perspective) why international cycle routes might be excluded (I've done the same thing in a UK/Ireland map style that I look after). The reason is, as can be seen here that "international" routes mostly reuse national routes, and the national routes tend to be signed whereas the international ones tend not to be (though obviously there are exceptions). I've not seen EV12 signage here near Lincoln, for example.

The decision "to show or not to show" is always down to the designer of a particular style.
