As you can see here, OSM has the satellite imagery improperly aligned. I mapped this area originally and it was perfectly in sync, but since the new sat imagery was put in, some places are off.

OSM does not have satellite imagery that could be misaligned, what we do have is imagery from lots of third parties that have been kind enough to allow us to use their products and services in our editing applications.

Imagery offset, particularly from those third parties that are offering mosaics from different image sources over large areas will often vary over time (new sources, different imaging systems and so on).

Naturally you can point out errors to the providers, but in general, given the time frames that is might take to fix such issues, it makes more sense to use the alignment support that all more mature editors have. A search for example for imagery alignment will return lots of answers on the subject.
