single tree map node natural

When I add a node and tag it natural=tree nothing happens.. not sure why? https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:natural%3Dtree

It's probably just the rendering servers catching up. Can you link to your tree so that people can check it?

What do you mean "nothing happens"? What did you expect?

Thanks for replies :-) make node; advanced tag natural tab tree tab; node disappears; Further experimenting I find that making a triangle (3 nodes) works.... so either I was doing it wrong or the wiki page single node is nt working

Hello Greyim, Please see SomeoneElse's answer below which I think you agree is the solution. However, the map will not update as you as you anticipate because you have not amended the edit/tagging. There are still two triangle ways tagged natural=tree. To help I've placed a single node in one triangle and tagged it natural=tree so you can see exactly what's needed. Regards Bernard

Actually, Your tree is a "way" rather than a "node".

Though other maps might show your tree, I don't think that OSM's "standard" stylesheet renders trees that are mapped this way (another non-rendering tree is here). If you map it as a single node, like this one, it should appear.
