When I use the ID editor, when I enter tag keys and then value, instead of maintaining the order I enter, (Amenity, Name, addr:housenumber, etct) it sorts the tags alphabetically for each new tag instead of how I input them. How do I stop it from sorting tags alphabetically?

Why are sorted tags a problem to you ? Note that tags are not ordered in any way as far as OSM data is concerned, so you shouldn't rely on any particular display order.

Even if an editor didn't sort new tags immediately, it'd probably sort them alphabetically once you click away from the object and back, because that's the only sensible way to order/display tags.

I guess in looking at tag, they do sort alphabetically as they should. I was thinking of tags such as Name first, then address, city, state, zip, phone. I understand why it is doing the way it does now.
