It's so frustrating in JOSM, I want to copy with the mouse. I can only copy the right column, I cannot copy the left column. And whenever I write a bug report about it the team does not think they should make the "interface" copyible. It's not their job. What is worse, each row of the right column must be copied separately. Perhaps the easiest way would just run an Optical Character Recognition program on the whole image! OK so let's recreate the text part of the image,
so frustrating. So why bother with text when one can just use the image? Well future generations searching for the same answers could find it easier via Google search... (Also I could redact testing URLs like the one used here easier, so people wouldn't think I was basing my OSM edits on them, all without needing to fire up GIMP.) asked 19 Feb '18, 03:45 jidanni aseerel4c26 ♦ |
what is your question? You found out how to create a ticket ( https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/15933 , https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/15916 ), so why a new "question" here? Please do not waste other volunteer's time.
My question is "How does one copy it?"
"It is not the goal of JOSM to make every GUI text copyable." ( https://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/15933#comment:1 ).
How to copy? It does not work, as you noticed it. And for a possible change of this see your tickets. This help site is not the right place to discuss bug reports and feature requests to OSM editors.
