I think that the ODbL is a big step forward for OpenStreetMap, and I'd like to move to it as soon as possible. I heard that it's possible to sign up to them voluntarily, and allow all my contributions to be made available under ODbL, when it's time to move. How can I do that? asked 11 Aug '10, 00:07 Matt |
Just pop along to http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/terms and have a read of the terms, and if you're happy to accept them then click the big "Accept" button at the bottom. If you like you can also check the box to say that you'd like your edits to be considered as public domain. answered 11 Aug '10, 00:10 TomH ♦♦ When I try to open http://openstreetmap.org/user/term i am redirected to https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/[username]/account

Visit http://openstreetmap.org/user/terms Login to your OSM API account if you aren't currently logged in. Select the button to indicate your country from either Italy, France or Rest of the World. Read the contributor terms. Press the accept button. Done. answered 11 Aug '10, 00:15 Richard Weait |
