[closed] Why is the coastline updated only once a month?

Why is the coastline in mapnik updated only once a month or even less often? Tiles at zoomlevels 12-17 could probably get updated more frequently - or am I totally wrong? Are there any statistics about how often coastlines are getting changed by users per day/week/month?
