whenever I click on edit with ID, it brings up a search bar. How do I get the edit feature bar?

Oddly, I'm seeing the same in iD in Chromium in Ubuntu 14.04 KDE. A spinner is continually going around at the top right.

@andy mackey - this original question was asked back in December 2017 and was likely related to a deployment issue at that time.

Hello Pogasty - adding a new question as an "answer" to an existing one unfortunately means that most people won't see it. If you ask a new question (preferably with a bit more information - like where in the world you're talking about) more people will see it.

To help show where in the world you're talking about you could just copy the URL from openstreetmap.org after you've zoomed in on the bit you're interested in - it changes as you do that.

Please login first. Then bring the zoom level to 16+. You can see the zoom level in the URL. The Edit button will now work. Basic ID Editor usage is available on Youtube.
