There are different transport maps - öpnvkarte.de, openptmap.org, or the transport map on www.openstreetmap.org, all made by different people with different design goals. The transport map on www.openstreetmap.org is made by Andy Allan; there's a link to his site in the botton right corner of the screen when you activate the transport map.
