Does anyone have any .mss stylesheets to format osm data like google maps? Anyone have any insight as to the best way to format osm data like google map tiles?

This might be the closest: https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-studio-emerald.tm2 . It looks pretty Google-like: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mapbox+emerald&source=lnms&tbm=isch

It's for Mapbox Studio Classic (aka TileMIll 2) so you'd need to rework it into an old-style TileMill project if you wanted to use it with the original TileMill.
