tunnel=building_passage in the map

0

The figure of tunnel=building_passage is incorrect in the map. Examples:

  • map=19/51.33938/7.39570 Fabrik Brandt, street level=0
  • map=19/51.25706/7.14942 city arcaden Wuppertal, street level=0
  • map=19/51.25570/7.14925 new buildings, street level=-1

Independent of "covered" yes or no. Best regards Norbert

I'm not noticing anything unusual. Can you describe how you would expect them to look?

Also, not sure if this is the correct fora for this. You should contact the person that mapped it or put a note in the map

Like the others above, I don't see an issue with any of your examples. All three are correctly rendered as tunnels with lighter fill and a dashed casing.

A building_passage could be a tunnel or a bridge, level -1 or +1. Or at Level 0, when the street is level -1.

No, a building passage usually has the same level as the street. See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:tunnel#tunnel.3Dbuilding_passage for example pictures.

One Answer:

-1

map=19/51.25570/7.14925 new building, street level=-1. You see the grey building covers (overlays) the street. This is correct !

map=19/51.33938/7.39570 Fabrik Brandt, street level=0. map=19/51.25706/7.14942 city arcaden Wuppertal, street level=0 The buildung-passages, both level 1, don't cover the streets. Grey color ends at the building-passages

Compare it with map=19/51.33713/7.39160. The Asker Street, level=1, covers the railway, level=0. This is correct ! A building_passage could be a tunnel or a bridge, level -1 or +1. Or at Level 0, when the street is level -1.

is this an addition to your question? Please use the "edit" link below your question and add the text to it. Full URLs would making clicking easier, too. :-)
