I used to be able to do this in Potlatch 1 but I can't work it out in version 2.

I now realise that you really wanted the short cut function, which I never use as I like to trim,tidy and compare trace to bing

It's alt-click (or probably something else if you're using a computer named after a fruit).

If your GPS is anything like mine, though, you may want to tidy up the resultant ways rather than adding traces as ways directly (if you haven't done it already before uploading it of course).

Control-shift click if you have a computer with an acquisitive "window manager".
