It's alt-click (or probably something else if you're using a computer named after a fruit). If your GPS is anything like mine, though, you may want to tidy up the resultant ways rather than adding traces as ways directly (if you haven't done it already before uploading it of course). answered 28 Jun '11, 00:53 SomeoneElse ♦ Same on a fruity computer.
