Hi, sorry for my bad english.

I have at some places more than one sort of gate at one point, always at the antrance of a forest. First, there is a wooden or metal bar across the road that can be removed and lokked with a special key some days of the week. Second, a cattle grid just under the bar. And, at least, a style or better a turnstyle to let people pass through.

For the moment, I put the three in one lonely point as follows: barrier = yes barrier_1 = cattle_grid barrier_2 = turstyle

Is this correct? Should it be better to create three different points? I noticed, that for the 2nd and 3rd, there is no pulldown menu to choose the right one.

Thank you for your help

Thank you very much for the explanations. I will modify my entrances and create one node for each sort of barrier.

I would create three nodes very close to each other on the way.

The use of key_1, key_2 etc is deprecated or at least highly discouraged (see Proposed features/Remove suffixed name-tags from wiki), so if you wanted to have multiple barrier types on one node, you'd want to use semicolons, eg barrier=cattle_grid;turnstyle;etc

I would usually map these separately, although the lockable bollard and the cattle grid do co-incide, but the centre point of the the cattle grid is not where the bollard is located. An example of a gate and a stile: http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/52.81546/-0.85105&layers=D
