Hello and Good day, Just curious to know, why the imagery of OSM maps is so outdated...where as Google Maps update frequently eg. the area around 32.1095492, 76.5359534 even Bing maps are so unidentifiable or are blur type...and there are plenty like this...some are not clear and other are not up to date. Thank you, nJ asked 26 Sep '17, 12:15 MatrixMachine |
I notice the DigiGlobe Standard imagery is more recent than others but not as recent as the Google imagery. We have permission to use the DG imagery for editing. MapCompare|BBBike.org answered 26 Sep '17, 13:02 nevw thank you for the replies....please close this thread

Please note that in that exact area there several other options (in the editor click the "background" icon to the right or press "B" to see them), e.g. Digital Globe, ESRI, Mapbox. OSM can't afford it's own imagery and so has to depend on whatever is allowed/donated to it. answered 26 Sep '17, 12:50 Hjart |
Hi,
Where can I find the metadata for the Digital Globe Imagery? I'm specifically interested in the dates or date range when the image was taken.
Thanks!
