[closed] iD: how to remove a relation

I created a bad feature that I wanted to delete. When I selected it, the Delete tool was grayed out/disabled. Mouse hover on that tool, popup message said I had to remove a relation first. I haven't yet found in the UI, the doc, or the forums yet how to do that. Thanks in advance folks.
